Emily Holland

Violin

Emily Holland, from Staffordshire, studied violin at the Royal Northern College of Music with Benedict Holland and Maciej Rakowski. She was a founding member of the Benyounes Quartet with whom she went on to study in Geneva with Gabor Takacs-Nagy. The quartet performed widely in the UK and Europe, previous concerts include Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Vienna Konzerthaus and Verbier Festival. They held the Junior Fellowship at Trinity Laban Conservatoire for two years and were resident in Bangor University. They were also laureates as joint first prize winners at the Sandor Vegh Competition in Hungary and prizewinners at the Orlando Competition in the Netherlands.
