Hyperion Recording: On Wenlock Edge, 17-18th November

We will be recording a disc to be released with Hyperion Records featuring the song cycle by Ralph Vaughan Williams, ‘On Wenlock Edge’, with Julius Drake on piano and Nicky Spence as tenor. The rest of the recording will include more of RVW’s songs and 4 Hymns for tenor, viola, piano with Timothy Rideout.

This marks our first visit as ‘PRiSM Associate’s’ at the RNCM. We will be making a recording of Emily Howard’s The Music of Proof and start working on a new commission with Emily to be premiered at the Concertgebouw Hall, Amsterdam, in April 2021. This is a very exciting project involving composition with Artificial Intelligence, so watch this space for more details over the coming months.
