Olivier Messaien: Quartet for the End of Time
The extraordinary Quartet for the End of Time was composed by Messiaen whilst incarcerated as a prisoner-of-war. Jessie and Michael will join forces with Sacha Rattle (clarinet) and Melvyn Tan (piano) for this special and poignant performance.
In our return to the concert stage with a live (!) audience for the first time in 2021, we perform two classic masterworks by Ravel and Beethoven.

We are delighted to be recording a string quintet and a string sextet showcasing works by the young and exciting composer, Gavin Higgins, for Nimbus Records. Gavin’s music will be featured at this year’s BBC Proms (already his 3rd commission from the Proms).
